The role
Glyph is building the technical team for an anticipated trade-facilitation assignment in Tunisia and is seeking an adviser who understands how customs, port, logistics, and trade systems exchange data in real operating environments.
What you may do
- Assess interoperability across customs, port, shipping, terminal, logistics, and trade systems.
- Help define functional and technical requirements for digital trade infrastructure, port-community systems, single-window environments, APIs, and data exchange.
- Identify practical gaps in data governance, system integration, workflow, standards, and institutional ownership.
- Translate user and operational needs into implementable technical requirements and phased modernization priorities.
- Advise on vendor-neutral architecture, procurement considerations, cybersecurity, standards, and long-term maintainability.
- Work with operational and policy specialists so digital recommendations solve real trade and clearance bottlenecks.
What we are looking for
- Senior experience with customs, port, maritime, logistics, single-window, port-community, or digital-trade systems.
- Hands-on understanding of system interoperability, data exchange, integration architecture, APIs, or technical requirements development.
- Ability to bridge operational users, government decision makers, and technology providers.
- Experience with international development, government modernization, systems integration, or comparable large-scale digital programs.
- Tunisia, North Africa, Middle East, port, customs, or maritime-trade experience is especially useful.
- Strong English analytical and client-facing communication. French and/or Arabic is a plus.
Proposal-stage request
For shortlisted candidates, Glyph may request a current CV, availability, indicative consulting rate, and examples of relevant digital-trade, port-systems, or customs-interoperability work for proposal use.
Important
This is an anticipated, contingent consulting opportunity. Timing, level of effort, and engagement depend on the procurement advancing and on client approval or award.
